Trackhouse Racing’s van Gisbergen and Chase Elliott of Hendrick Motorsports fought hammer and tongs over fourth place in the final four laps.
They were joined late in the piece by Ricky Stenhouse Jr. out of the Hyak Motorsports stable, who enjoyed a late surge to finish fourth.
In the end, van Gisbergen scored fifth – beating 23XI Racing’s Tyler Reddick and Chase Elliott in a photo finish.
